Customer Review: This is the best pedometer ever
I have had several of this model Omron pedometer ( I misplaced a few) and think it is the best. It is very accurate and keeps aerobic steps and aerobic time as well .This is so helpful. Also the shape of it insures that it does not dig into your midriff. If anyone has a problem , it is probably because they have not adjusted the pedometer on a daily basis. I check for accuracy as soon as I put it on because you can't expect the same reading if you clip it on a different place all the time. I don't go by the calories burned but this too could be helpful to some people.
Customer Review: I could kick myself for buying this item.
I am 14 weeks into a walking program and dropped my simple pedometer. I buy this one and have not been able to track my steps for over a week. I am usually not technically challenged, but I cannot get this to count my steps. I am going to Dick's or CVS this weekend to buy a simple step counter so I can get back on track with my program.

Omron HJ-113 Walking Style II Step Counter Pedometer

Omron HJ-113 is a technological evolution in pedometers. It acts as a discreet partner to your exercise, an invisible accessory hidden from public scrutiny, that you can use throughout the day. The HJ-113 has been egineered with a new sensor technology that brings a whole list of added features than those found on more traditional step counters. Old style step counters have to be worn on the hip and the mercury movement detection mechanism they use is not particularly reliable, especially in cheaper models. Omron's new sensor technology means you can pop the HJ-113 discreetly into your pocket or bag and it will reliably count every step you take. It even automatically calculates the difference between normal walking about and the rhythmic pattern of an aerobic workout. Better yet, the Omron Step Counter doesn't just count your steps - it measures distance, too, and calculates calories and fat burned. With a 7-day memory, this step counter will motivate you to take more steps, every day, towards your fitness or weight loss goals. So add all your daily steps to tally your actual exercise with the Omron HJ-113. Whether you place it in your pocket, bag, or belt, this pedometer will help keep track of your continuous waling habits. Large display Includes Clock Detachable belt holder and security strap for the traditional sports walker
Customer Review: Worth the price
I purchased this pedometer before the price reduction and it is still worth the higher price. It is easy to set up. Only had a minor problem inserting the battery since the battery cover screw is somewhat small. The unit fits snugly into the clip holder. I use the strap with the small clip attached to my clothing for extra security but the unit has not dislodged during heavy exercising. I am using it for just a few days and it is accurate whether in my pocket or clipped to my clothing. The re-setting at 12MN is nice however there is no way to turn off the pedometer to prolong battery usage.
Customer Review: Great Pedometer...use it every day, and it is accurate.
The product is great, and I've bought a few and given them to people who are into walking/running. I use it every day and it is accurate. Love the fact that it resets at midnight, and allows you to see your history for the week.

Customer Review: Best pedometer I've used
I've had pedometers before, but they always become useless when the belt clip breaks. I've watched for a pedometer with a steel clip. I've yet to find one, but this pedometer licks the problem in another way--the clip is detachable. In the picture, you can see that there are 2 white pieces that look rather bulky at the bottom sides of the pedometer. Those white pieces are the belt clip, and the pedometer itself fits into the clip that then holds the pedometer. I assume you can buy a new clip for less than who whole new pedometer; if this is not true, then the pedometer isn't as great as I think. Other nice features: It is extremely easy to set. User friendly. Also, it automatically goes to a new day--you get up in the morning and the steps are back to zero. There is a function to look back at each mode for the past 7 days; how many miles you walked, how many steps etc. Also, there is both an overall step counter and an aerobic step counter, which essentially counts your rhythmic steps. So your steps as you move around through your daily habits will count separately from the rhythmic steps if you go out for a walk. The cons: It won't pick up on my workout on an elliptical trainer. Also, the aerobic steps do not begin recording until you've gone--well, the brochure says 10 minutes, but it seems more like 12 to me. So if you do 8 minutes of an aerobic workout and then stop, none of the 8 minutes will be recorded as aerobic steps (though they will be recorded as non-aerobic steps.) You must do 10-12 minutes for it to start recording aerobic movements, but after that time it does recorded the full 10 - 12 minutes that you've done. The claim is that once you start aerobically exercising, you can stop for a full minute and it will start recording again after 60 steps, but I have found that not to be true. Stop to tie your shoe and it doesn't begin recording until 10 minutes have again elapsed. Or that's how my own pedometer seems to work. But overall, it's a terrific little machine.
Customer Review: The best pedometer
I started wearing this pedometer about 2 years ago and it's the best one out there for those trying to reach the 10,000 daily step goal. I've purchased 3 so far-- my first one finally got knocked to the floor one too many times, and the other was for my husband-- and I love them. The waistband clip isn't too secure though, anytime I kneel down or bend at the waist it's apt to pop off my waistband and fall to the floor. After nearly losing it a number of times, I lost it tonight while at the movie theater. I should've just put it in my pocket, but for me it seems to decrease the step count. I definitely will buy this again (but maybe keep it in my pocket more).

Customer Review: 50-50
I purchased this specific pedometer because it came with a CD with software. This would allow me to input the data from the pedometer into a program on my computer and monitor my progress. Well, the pedometer works great, does what it should by counting my steps. I like the different modes offered such as calories, miles, steps, etc. What I don't like is that I still cannot get the CD/software to work. I have contacted Omron through email and they sent me a link to download the software directly from their site. Still no luck. My next step is to call them in person to get a solution. I would not return the pedometer and CD because the pedometer does do what it should. If it turns out that I can never use the software, I will be disappointed - more towards 'modern technology' than against Omron.
Customer Review: stopped working 2 days past return window :-(
This thing was pretty cool for about a month. After that, it began resetting the count over and over and flashing a low battery sign (even minutes after a new battery was put in). Of course, this happened about 2 days after it was past the last day I could get a refund. Very unhappy and would not recommend. Just get yourself a plain old pedometer. If you have a calculator, you can figure out your mileage on your own, and save your cash for something else.
